ANNETTE BEAUCHAMP

ANNETTE chooses to work in the area of women’s and pelvic health.

Annette graduated as a physio from Lincoln Institiute, La Trobe University in 1994.  SHE worked in public hospitals and private physiotherapy clinics in general physiotherapy roles  and later in continence and pelvic health roles.  SHE worked in general physiotherapy before competing post-graduate studies in continence and pelvic rehabilitation.

 

Annette practised pilates from 2008 and studied pilates through Polestar Pilates in 2012.

 

SHE has worked in the area of continence and pelvic health since 1995. Her special areas of interest are in management of mastitis, postnatal rehabiitation of abdomen and pelvic problems, pelvic organ prolapse, and dyspareunia – vaginismus, hypertonic pelvic muscles. 

 

Annette was a registered nurse for 10 years prior to being a physiotherapist. SHE worked in gynaecology, general medicine and surgery, and in aged care.

 

Life has been a gentle flow forever pulling me towards women’s health.  I love working with women and watching them succeed with their bodies and lives.

HOLLY THOMPSON

HOLLY graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2014. Since finishing her degree, Holly has worked in Bass Coast, Gippsland, and Melbourne in both private practice and private hospitals. Holly completed Level A DMA Clinical Pilates training in 2015, and loves taking small group and private Clinical Pilates classes. She enjoys ante-natal and post-natal classes where the mums bring their babes to be a part of the class. 

 

Holly enjoys treating musculoskeletal problems. She has furthered her rehabilitation skills with additional learning and experience in the areas of shoulder management and hip pain – which present commonly in SHE’s pregnant and postnatal population.

 

Over time, Holly has developed a passion for Women’s Health and Pelvic Physiotherapy, which has guided her to the SHE community. Holly’s ultimate goal is to make your rehabilitation an empowering, and even fun process that fits your life.

 

At SHE, Holly treats women with pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain (PPGP) sacro-iliac and pubic pain, buttock pain and mastitis.  She loves the complexity of pelvic issues including bladder and bowel problems, and has become an expert at helping women overcome dyspareunia. 

 

HOLLY is available on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday for physiotherapy and pilates appointments and pilates classes.

NATALYA KABYLUK

Natalya has been working in health all her adult life. She has a particular interest in men’s and women’s pelvic health, and pregnancy-related pain. Natalya has focused on the care of men having prostate surgery. She has a special interest in sexual function for both men and women – having recently completed sexology training. This adds uniquely to the care she provides to men and women who want to improve sexual function. She is known for her sensitivity, empathy and respect for her clients.

Natalya graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from La Trobe University in 2006. She thoroughly enjoys acquiring knowledge and has completed Postgraduate studies in pelvic Floor Rehabilitation as Melbourne University in 2009 and a Masters at Monash University in 2012. She recently completed a Masters of Reproductive Health Psychosexual Therapy with the University of Sydney. She has extensive experience and knowledge in Men’s and Women’s Health.

She continues to work as a senior physiotherapist at the Royal Melbourne Hospital Continence Service and Prostate Cancer Centre. Previously, she was a senior physiotherapist at the Royal Women’s Hospital.

Natalya is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, Continence Foundation of Australia and Australian Sexology Association.

When not treating patients, Natalya enjoys bushwalking in our beautiful state and loves swimming on weekends. She also enjoys studying languages. She is fluent in Russian and taking steps to learn other languages. 

LAILA JUNTUNEN

LAILA has been practising Pilates for over 20 years as part of her personal training in dance and competitive cheerleading. Professionally, she added formal qualifications in Pilates, with a Cert IV through Polestar Pilates to her credentials of a decade teaching dance and cheerleading.  Additionally she studied ante-natal and post-natal pilates.

 

Laila has an appreciation of the unique stresses on the body experienced in a range of work and life situations, from working in an office environment to participating in national level sport and dance competitions. She has first-hand understanding of the value and exceptional benefits of Pilates in strengthening and repairing the body and is passionate about sharing her knowledge to help others achieve their physical goals through Pilates.

 

Laila enjoys working with elite sportspeople, assisting in rehabilitation for ageing clients and instructing at Melbourne’s leading secondary schools.  This combines to qualify Laila to provide a great Pilates experience for all – young, old and in between.

 

LAILA is available at SHE on Saturdays for specialised mat classes and private lessons in the upstairs studio. She is available by appointment during the week.

 

SADI AHMED

SADI is a guest pilates teacher at SHE.
Sadi is Polestar certified Pilates instructor and earned her Bachelor of Physiotheraphy in India.
Additionally. Sadi has specific training for ante-natal and post-natal clients.

 

Sadi is passionate about working within the fitness and rehabilitation sphere to assist clients to further their physical journey – to improve strength, flexibility and control of movement. She has experienced the benefits of Pilates herself through her personal Pilates journey and enjoys working with clients to reach their physical goals.

 

Sadi spends her spare time baking, practicing yoga and playing badminton, and wrangling her gorgeous young daughters.

JULIE CARSON

JULIE discovered the Pilates Method 20 years ago and appreciated the principles of its practice and foundation exercises. This flowed from her extensive experience as a dancer, teacher and examiner. Julie has perfected her skills in training fluid, graceful movement in her clients. She enjoys helping people with their posture and retraining corrected movements.

 

Julie is interested in foot mobility and its relationship to balance and movement. 

 

When not in the studio, Julie can be found splining time with her daughters and grandchildren and planning her next world adventure.
